Beware of cheap underperforming clones

As of 2023 there are many badly performing clones on the market. V2/3GHz NanoVNA uses parts like ADF4350 and AD8342 which are costly and clones have been cutting costs by using salvaged or reject parts.

See official store and look for V2 Plus4/V2 Plus4 Pro versions only to avoid getting a bad clone. We have stopped selling V2.2 versions since October 2020, so all V2 hardware that are not Plus or Plus4 are not made by us and we can not guarantee performance.

For those wanting the full original document from Von Hippel, et al.,
it's available at DTIC

https://apps.dtic.mil/sti/tr/pdf/ADA288969.pdf

The first few pages give the measurement uncertainties. It might also, in the copious list of references, tell you what paper had the original data.

pg 19 of pdf for uncertainties (page “x” of the doc)

pg 39 for air (page 20 of the doc)

references at the end.

But you should just download and read the doc, most of it is tables and plots
for specific materials, so you can skip over.

Experimental methods aren’t described - probably in the references. This is
more a compendium report from the literature.

One thing you have provided is the tons of shelfware we use to get the smallest of things done ... trying to wean people of documents and use data and run their own reports so the DoD can not only Run Fast, but Run Smart.

Note: Great job in the DTIC reports (I write about 8-10 a year) - secure that is.
