Beware of cheap underperforming clones

As of 2023 there are many badly performing clones on the market. V2/3GHz NanoVNA uses parts like ADF4350 and AD8342 which are costly and clones have been cutting costs by using salvaged or reject parts.

See official store and look for V2 Plus4/V2 Plus4 Pro versions only to avoid getting a bad clone. We have stopped selling V2.2 versions since October 2020, so all V2 hardware that are not Plus or Plus4 are not made by us and we can not guarantee performance.

Which Firmware?

Larry Naumann 2025/01/23 04:27

I have a NanoVNA V2 Plus 4 v2.4. I have had it for a few years now and decided to update the firmware.
I just loaded 20220814. It is working fine but I was looking for a structure map for this version.
I could not find one. When I go to my stimulus menu at the bottom there is an option for adf4350 power setting.
I don’t see any structures with this option.
No big deal but I was wondering if I should run some other firmware?

Hello Larry,

I always make a new menu for the VNA when there is new software.

Look under Version to see which firmware version is loaded.

My version 1.3.40 still has a bug, I'm still waiting for a new update

I have all firmware versions and can send them to you

Thank you for the reply but I looked at every menu map and none matched.
Stimulus choices are as follows
START
STOP
CENTER
SPAN
CW FREQ
SWEEP POINTS
ADF 4350 TX PWR
BACK
I do not have the CFG option that leads to the adf4350 mine goes straight to add4350
I have version 20220814 firmware
Should I load something else, if so where do I find it?

Yes, please send me upgraded versions.
I have a NanoVNA V2 Plus 4
I just loaded a stable version from the nanorfe website, it is 20211227
It has a menu tree that matches your maps.
I am having a hard time finding much information for this device and most of it seems pretty old.
I would just like to get something that is known to work properly.
