Hello,
I am about to pulling the strings on one of those analyzers, I am just
not sure, wether the Pro is for me. I do not care for the faster sweep
speed, having that exta 6dB dynamic range is surely nice, but probably
alone not worth the extra money.
What I am curious about - and do not fully comprehend - is the
following: "Adjustable bandwidth for measuring narrowband devices"
That implies, the Plus4 (without pro) has a fixed bandwidth, so which
would that be? The user manual does not seem to elaborate on that issue.
And further, I am not sure I do understand the term "bandwith" properly,
since the the manual explicitly allows for setting the start and stop
frequency for the sweep - what I would have assumed to be the bandwidth.
At least when using the software, that is. And unless the manual is only
fvalid or the pro version. So, what other bandwith are we talking about?
I admit, I am only a rather recent HAM, so bare with me.
So, would somebody please be so kind to elaborating on that variable
bandwith issue?
Thanks
Beware of cheap underperforming clones
As of 2023 there are many badly performing clones on the market. V2/3GHz NanoVNA uses parts like ADF4350 and AD8342 which are costly and clones have been cutting costs by using salvaged or reject parts.
See official store and look for V2 Plus4/V2 Plus4 Pro versions only to avoid getting a bad clone. We have stopped selling V2.2 versions since October 2020, so all V2 hardware that are not Plus or Plus4 are not made by us and we can not guarantee performance.

V4Plus vs. Pro: Bandwidth
Hi, the bandwidth here refers to the IFBW, which is the amount of filtering on the intermediate frequency signal. If you need to measure crystals or crystal filters, they have very high Q and a long ringing period, so a very narrow IFBW filter and slow sweep speed is used. This is not needed for most devices like antennas, filters, ceramic filters, active circuits.
Thanks
Thank you very much for your explanation and sorry for may delay.
