Beware of cheap underperforming clones

As of 2023 there are many badly performing clones on the market. V2/3GHz NanoVNA uses parts like ADF4350 and AD8342 which are costly and clones have been cutting costs by using salvaged or reject parts.

See official store and look for V2 Plus4/V2 Plus4 Pro versions only to avoid getting a bad clone. We have stopped selling V2.2 versions since October 2020, so all V2 hardware that are not Plus or Plus4 are not made by us and we can not guarantee performance.

Problems with V2 +4

Jonathan Peakall 2025/10/03 15:50

I have a V2 +4 that is not working for measuring VSWR on VHF/UHF. It works fine on HF. It also won't do a firmware update, it gets a white screen when holding down the left button when booting up. It also will not connect to a PC, it doesn't show up as a com port, even with the win10 driver installed.

Any ideas if this might be reset/fixed somehow? Or is it just borked?

try a different cable.. maybe it's just a charge cable?? or does not make good
contact??

in normal mode or in bootloader mode it should be found as a comport!!!

white screen is normal if switched to bootloader mode

Make sure your cal standards are good and try doing a reset in the cal menu before doing the calibration on vhf? I was getting lots of very strange results on my SV4401a till I figured that out. It's basically a Nano with a big screen and N sockets.

Cheers,

Colin.

Did all that. No joy.

How about a factory reset, and/or a firmware upgrade or reload?

Beyond that, I'm afraid it's terra incognito to me - anything that works past UHF, or made in the last 5 years, is just witchcraft!

Good luck,

Colin.

I've been looking for how to do a factory reset but can only see how to
do that through a PC. Which I can't seem to connect to. Is there any
other way?
