Beware of cheap underperforming clones

As of 2023 there are many badly performing clones on the market. V2/3GHz NanoVNA uses parts like ADF4350 and AD8342 which are costly and clones have been cutting costs by using salvaged or reject parts.

See official store and look for V2 Plus4/V2 Plus4 Pro versions only to avoid getting a bad clone. We have stopped selling V2.2 versions since October 2020, so all V2 hardware that are not Plus or Plus4 are not made by us and we can not guarantee performance.

Official US site or Tindie?

Rick Kunath 2025/06/20 09:08

Is there an official US dealer to purchase a NanoVNA V2 Plus4 Pro from? Or is the Tindie site e only legitimate place to make a purchase?

I know others ahae said that they have had nothing but good experiences with Tindie, but I was hoping to shorten the time it took to get the device here. That's my reason for looking for a dealer here in the US with faster shipping.

Any advice is most appreciated.

According to NanoRFE the Tindie store is the only approved seller.
I purchased mine through Tindie with no issues.
NanoVNA V2 Plus4 Pro is a good choice. I love mine.

Thanks Alan, I appreciate the reply. I'll get my order off and hope for
a quick delivery.

Did you have to source the internal battery separately?

And I see there is no case so I'll need to see what might be out there
to hold the cables and calibrators.

Good afternoon Rick,
Any local smoke shop will carry the batteries.
They are a 18650 lithium battery and only one is needed. It will probably run around $15 for a battery.
As far as a case goes, I am using an old portable cd player soft case. It has 2 zipper compartments. One for the VNA and the other for cables and adapters.
It took about a week to get mine. I thought that was very reasonable.

Have a good weekend 73
