Beware of cheap underperforming clones

As of 2023 there are many badly performing clones on the market. V2/3GHz NanoVNA uses parts like ADF4350 and AD8342 which are costly and clones have been cutting costs by using salvaged or reject parts.

See official store and look for V2 Plus4/V2 Plus4 Pro versions only to avoid getting a bad clone. We have stopped selling V2.2 versions since October 2020, so all V2 hardware that are not Plus or Plus4 are not made by us and we can not guarantee performance.

New To Group and the NanoVNA

Tim 2023/11/18 16:14

Greetings To All,

I am new to this group and the using of a NanoVNA-H4. I am having throuble understanding a few fuctuions of the NanoVNA.

1. After set up my frequecies to match my HF6V (80, 40, 30, 20 15, 10 mm), when I hit the Recall setting the frequencies no longer have the S11 SWR settings. I have to go through the process of setting it up each one once more. Is there a way to save all setting related to the frequency and SWR settings?

2. Is there away of identify the 9 horizontal lines as 1.0 SWRs through 2.0 SWR?

3. Do I need to calibrate (Open, Short and Load) the NanoVNA each time I use it?

4.I am required to calibrate each frequncy (80, 40. 30, 20, 15 and 10mm) individually each time I use the NanoVNA?

5. Can the Open, Short and Load calibration be save with the six frequencies saved under Recall?

Thank you for any advice provided.

Tim,

This group is mainly about the NanoVNA-V2, which operates up to 3 GHz and beyond,
The NanoVNA-H4 is better covered on another group:
