Beware of cheap underperforming clones

As of 2023 there are many badly performing clones on the market. V2/3GHz NanoVNA uses parts like ADF4350 and AD8342 which are costly and clones have been cutting costs by using salvaged or reject parts.

See official store and look for V2 Plus4/V2 Plus4 Pro versions only to avoid getting a bad clone. We have stopped selling V2.2 versions since October 2020, so all V2 hardware that are not Plus or Plus4 are not made by us and we can not guarantee performance.

Firmware Versions

Bernie 2023/01/26 08:45

Hello Group:
With all of the "Stuff" I have in the shack it seems I'm always chasing new Firmware Versions on each of them.  I'm a new user of the
NANOVNA V2 Plus 4 with version 20220301 installed and working OK.  I see others discussing Version 20220814 and before I chase
that version I would like to study what changes it makes over what I have.  I have searched and can not find a site that discussses the
details of version changes and maybe it does not even exist.  If one does, I would appreciate its URL.  This is quite a device as I compare
it to my "Boat Anchors" of 20 years ago.
Thanks and 73's

Lena:Thank you.
I never came across this site in all of my searches, came close but not this exact one.I see the change history stops at 20220301 which is what I'm using.  I will check this site on a regular basis untilversion 20220814 is discussed and I can then make my choice.  Looing over the versions has provided the typeof information I was looking for.  Thank you again for providing me the site listing.73's Bernie

If you look here:

https://nanorfe.com/nanovna-versions.html

you will find that 20220814 is the latest version, for whatever reason
the group's main page doesn't mention it, but the hardware/firmware
versions page does.

Hi Brian:Yes I have seen that site, thank you.  I will wait until the site that describes why version 20220814 waswas written and then make my decision.  What I have is working fine.  In the past I have chased
new versions on other items only to find it had bugs that needed correction.  I building common modebaluns and doing some "what If things with them" and my NANO is giving me data I can use.  So unless...0814 corrects some issue that impacts what I'm testing, I will leave it alone for the time being. Thanks again for your help and 73's.Bernie/W4EDX
