Beware of cheap underperforming clones

As of 2023 there are many badly performing clones on the market. V2/3GHz NanoVNA uses parts like ADF4350 and AD8342 which are costly and clones have been cutting costs by using salvaged or reject parts.

See official store and look for V2 Plus4/V2 Plus4 Pro versions only to avoid getting a bad clone. We have stopped selling V2.2 versions since October 2020, so all V2 hardware that are not Plus or Plus4 are not made by us and we can not guarantee performance.

Hello David and Giuliano,

I just checked my Windows 10 machine which recognizes my older (circa 2020) NanoVNA-SAA-2N. The installed driver is listed under Device Manager as Cypress Semiconductor version 3.13.0.59, dated 13-Oct-2015. A link to the Cypress Driver download can be found on the nanorfe website, about halfway down the page:

https://nanorfe.com/nanovna-v2-software.html#nanovna-qt

As for installing the Cypress driver, you might have to delete any previous drivers that come up when you first plug in your NanoVNA to a USB port, and then reinstall the Cypress drivers.

As to software for updating the firmware in the device, I have had best success with NanoVNA-App. There are a few variants out there, including variants from DiSlord and Owen Duffy, but all of them work for me. As far as I can tell, neither NanoVNA-QT nor NanoVNA-Saver have an option for uploading firmware into the device, but I might be missing a feature somewhere. My go-to app for all-around functionality is NanoVNA-App. Here is a link to download DiSlord's latest version of NanoVNA-App:

https://github.com/DiSlord/NanoVNA-App/blob/main/Win32/Release/NanoVNA-App.exe

To download the file, click on the small icon of a downward arrow pointing into a box, the second icon from the right next to the pencil icon in the light gray bar about ¼ of the way down the screen.

Here is a link to Owen Duffy's site to download his latest version:

https://github.com/owenduffy/NanoVNA-App/releases

Good luck.
