I have an almost new nanoVNA that I barely used. For some reason the
left and right (X axis) touch sensing is not working at all. It responds
perfectly to all Y-axis.
It has never been dropped or abused. It actually pretty much just sat on
a desk. It works fine with a computer.
Is it now just a throw away? At the cost of one, I don't want to spend
much time working on it.
Thanks, Tom

Beware of cheap underperforming clones
As of 2023 there are many badly performing clones on the market. V2/3GHz NanoVNA uses parts like ADF4350 and AD8342 which are costly and clones have been cutting costs by using salvaged or reject parts.
See official store and look for V2 Plus4/V2 Plus4 Pro versions only to avoid getting a bad clone. We have stopped selling V2.2 versions since October 2020, so all V2 hardware that are not Plus or Plus4 are not made by us and we can not guarantee performance.

Have you tried to recalibrate the touch, Tom?

Hi Dave,
It does not see any X changes at all and the touch thinks everything is
all far left edge. I cannot get it to do anything but what is far left
on the screen.
I suppose I can hook a laptop to it and see if I can get the touch
calibration up that way, but anything right of the left edge touching is
totally dead. Up or down are normal light touches, but no matter where I
tap on the screen it thinks it is a tap on the very left side. It gets
the touch height correct.

OK Tom.
You can get the menu up using the centre of the 3 small buttons
adjacent to the power switch.
I have my screen "flipped" so that the RF connectors are at the top...
so the RIGHT button steps down the menu while the LEFT button steps up
and exits.
Navigate with the [L/R] buttons to CONFIG
press the middle button
Navigate to TOUCH CAL
Press middle button
Now (try to) follow the prompts.

Hi,
have you checked that there is not too much pressure on the display from below? I had to loosen the screws a little bit two years ago and now figured out, that the LiPo has gotten fatter to make my display unusable. Going to change the LiPo next week.
