Beware of cheap underperforming clones

As of 2023 there are many badly performing clones on the market. V2/3GHz NanoVNA uses parts like ADF4350 and AD8342 which are costly and clones have been cutting costs by using salvaged or reject parts.

See official store and look for V2 Plus4/V2 Plus4 Pro versions only to avoid getting a bad clone. We have stopped selling V2.2 versions since October 2020, so all V2 hardware that are not Plus or Plus4 are not made by us and we can not guarantee performance.

Current Tariffs?

Jonathan Peakall 2025/10/19 11:19

Does anyone know what the current tariff is for a V2+4 to the US? I need
to order a new one but don't want to get a surprise huge tariff.

Thanks!

nanov2support 2025/10/20 18:32

Hi, currently the tariffs are included in the shipping cost *(to the US using SF e-parcel only)* if you order from our Tindie store.
Thanks

Jonathan Peakall 2025/10/20 19:01

Thanks. When you go to order it says:

*Please note:*Buyers are responsible for paying any Import Fees and
Sales Tax for the items they order. Tindie does not collect Sales Taxes
on behalf of sellers. Please check the individual product page to see
how the seller handles taxes.

So I just want to be sure that I am not going to wait for it to arrive
and then get hit with fees. And of xourse, this isn't on you guys.
Appreciate the help!

Customs via the shipping/courier company. The seller will ship with a
customs declaration and depending on the value, the item will be held by
customs until import duties and vat are paid else you will receive the item
and be invoiced for the duties/vat by the shipping company.

I believe that the designers said that, for now, duties are pre-paid if you
order from the official store. Your local sales taxes are your
responsibility. I know that we all voluntarily pay sales taxes on each
item we mail order. Right?

Hi, the import duties are prepaid for the US only (includes sales tax) because of the way SF express handles shipments to the US. For all other countries duties are still collected by the courier at time of delivery.
Thanks

Hello,
I can tell how it was in austria (EU).
I ordered directly from Tindie the VNA2 Plus 4 Pro !
There was a proforma invoice attached and i didn't pay extra tax.
But it was 2 years ago...it might have changed.

What i know is GB is different, because it's not EU anymore you might have to pay Tax on the proforma invoice (low value!)
