I downloaded nanovna-solver64 from github, installed LabView and NI-VISTA from the NI website. The COM port associated with my nanovna-H appears in the NanoPort drop-down list on solver64's Setup/Diagnostics tab, but pressing LINK does not produce the desired "green light" status indication and the control wheel on the nanovna-H remains active.
Can anyone tell me what I have failed to do? Or, is the nanovna-H not supported by solver64?
Beware of cheap underperforming clones
As of 2022 there are many badly performing clones on the market. V2/3GHz NanoVNA uses parts like ADF4350 and AD8342 which are costly and clones have been cutting costs by using salvaged or reject parts.
See official store and look for V2 Plus4/V2 Plus4 Pro versions only to avoid getting a bad clone. We have stopped selling V2.2 versions since October 2020, so all V2 hardware that are not Plus or Plus4 are not made by us and we can not guarantee performance.

nanovna solver64 won't "LINK" to nanovna-H
After rereading the docs, I did a proper clone of the github repository and used the author's preferred unzipping tool to recreate the directory. Program startup found defaults.set, which was missing from earlier (improper) installation.
But, LINK to nanovna-H still fails, producing error code 1073676294 from source "VISA Read in NanoVNAPlus_r3_01.vi". I am using the supplier's (ttrf) firmware v0.8.0-20200620 ( https://github.com/ttrftech/NanoVNA/releases ).
Clues?
Brian, this firmware is to old.
In attache is version 1.1.01 from DiSlord

Thanks for your suggestion, Vlad. The new firmware did not fix my problem.
NI-VISA package installs utilities. Running nivisaic (interactive control
utility) finds the device on COM6, but returns this message:
Error opening resource:
ASRL6::INSTR
VISA: (Hex 0xBFFF0072) The resource is valid, but VISA cannot currently
access it.
The NIMAX utility also finds the device on COM6, but reports the speed as
9600 even though the firmware (CONFIG>CONNECTION>SERIAL SPEED) reports
38400. Maybe this doesn't matter if the connection is USB.
Thanks, Francesco. I think you are right.

Thanks, Francesco. Can you show me a link to the 32-bit software? I can't find it on github. Perhaps it was removed when the 64-bit version was released?
I have been using Sharp. It is fine to generate sweeps and download Touchstone files, but I would like to use the additional features of Solver.

Thank you for the clear instructions, Francesco. Reading the documentation,
I see that I must first go back to the ttrftech 0.8.0 firmware.
I will update if I am able to make this work.
Brian,
https://github.com/joeqsmith/NanoVNA_Software/blob/NanoVNA/NanoVNA_original_2p10.zip - after installation of version 0.1.0 please unzip and copy this programm for nanoVNA-H to folder of main programm
https://github.com/joeqsmith/NanoVNA_Software/blob/NanoVNA_V2Plus/NanoVNA_V2Plus_2p08.zip - unzip for NanoVNA-V2Plus/Plus4 ---> to folder of main program

Thank you, Vladimir. 2p10 works with my nanoVNA-H using ttrftech 0.8.0
firmware. I am very grateful for your help.
