calibration problem

Beware of cheap underperforming clones

As of 2023 there are many badly performing clones on the market. V2/3GHz NanoVNA uses parts like ADF4350 and AD8342 which are costly and clones have been cutting costs by using salvaged or reject parts.

See official store and look for V2 Plus4/V2 Plus4 Pro versions only to avoid getting a bad clone. We have stopped selling V2.2 versions since October 2020, so all V2 hardware that are not Plus or Plus4 are not made by us and we can not guarantee performance.

Hi all,
I have a V2 which I operate using NanoVNA-App v1.1.206, and all was well the last time I used it, which was maybe 10 months and I don't know how may windows updates ago. Today, when I wanted to calibrate to a new frequency range a pop into the calibration menu, when I press on the "Short" button, I get the following error message:
"Access violation at address 00540240 in module 'Nano VNA-app.exe'. Read of address 0E58FFBC.

Can anyone explain in simple language what this means, and more important, how to fix the problem?

Hi, NanoVNA App is not developed by us and the development appears to have been abandoned, so it's not officially supported and we are not able to provide any bug fixes.
We recommend using VNA View, which is the full featured VNA software for the V2 and VNA6000 series and supports Windows, Mac OS, and Linux:
