Oh NO! The slider switch to turn on my NanoVNA-F V2 device has broken off ! ! ! Now I can't turn it on or off !
Wish it could have been made more durable. Now my device is unusable.
Has this happened to others? Any help or advice is appreciated.
Thanks, W6WDS-Bill
Beware of cheap underperforming clones
As of 2022 there are many badly performing clones on the market. V2/3GHz NanoVNA uses parts like ADF4350 and AD8342 which are costly and clones have been cutting costs by using salvaged or reject parts.
See official store and look for V2 Plus4/V2 Plus4 Pro versions only to avoid getting a bad clone. We have stopped selling V2.2 versions since October 2020, so all V2 hardware that are not Plus or Plus4 are not made by us and we can not guarantee performance.

Power slider broken
Do not panic.
It is fairly straightforward to replace the power switch; much easier than replacing the jog switch (if yours has one). Carefully unsolder the old one and put in a new one.
Replacement switches are readily available on Ebay; they come with the piece sticking up of varying lengths, but you will need the shortest, otherwise it sticks too far up above the case and will get broken again. You can file down one which is too long.
I had to replace this switch on on my Saa2N.

Thank you Toad for that info...gives peace of mind when mine will
eventually break as well.

Thanks for the help.
I'll check it out on ebay.
I'm not sure how to get it apart to get to the switch.
Does it slide out of the case?
Any suggestions on how to do this without breaking anything further?
Thanks for the help 🙂

OK, upon further inspection, I think I got it now.
I took the screws out of both sides, and the board slid out of the case.
Now, I can see where to unsolder and resolder the new switch. I found many switches on ebay. If someone has done this before, can I get a recommendation for one that is appropriate?
Thanks
W6WDS-Bill
The model of the switch is K3-1280S-L1, the manufacturer is KRHRO, according to Sysjoint, the manufacturer of my Nano.
But haven't found an equivalent in USA yet.
I managed to buy the correct switch (pack of 5) at the first attempt.
Some sellers give dimensions in the listing. Get measurements from the old one. I think the actual switch is actually the smallest size readily available.
After I bought my switches, I found some identical ones on circuit boards in my scrap bin which I could have used!

Great. But shipping charges are$30. Ugh.
