Beware of cheap underperforming clones

As of 2022 there are many badly performing clones on the market. V2/3GHz NanoVNA uses parts like ADF4350 and AD8342 which are costly and clones have been cutting costs by using salvaged or reject parts.

See official store and look for V2 Plus4/V2 Plus4 Pro versions only to avoid getting a bad clone. We have stopped selling V2.2 versions since October 2020, so all V2 hardware that are not Plus or Plus4 are not made by us and we can not guarantee performance.

I can access the following URL which is supposed to contain the download
for QT:

That takes me to:

https://nanorfe.com/nanovna-v2.html

Which, when I click on software (for PC), it takes me right back to the
first URL. Where do I download the PC SW to operate theV2's?

Even the original NANOVNA-SAVER does not operate the V2's, but has no
problem with the originals.

download the zip file from github and unzip to whatever place you want
on you pc. The executable file is vna_qt.exe, it can be found in the
release folder.

which is suggested on the site. COM1 somes up, but no connection. I've
also tried COM4 with no luck. If the V2's should work on the 3.8 rev of
SAVER, my V2's do not connect to that either. Yes, the USB cables I'm
using are good.

Oh, yes,and I should mention that while connected to the PC, when I switch
on the V2, I a get the expected audible report that the USB port has become
active, so USB is recognized, but can not connect to the NANOVNA - SAA-2 in
either QT or rev 3.8 of SAVER. All work properly as stand-alones.

you have to switch the device on before fire up saver or qt (only then
windows will give the software the right comport number)

here the comport number is com 32 ... but it can be near any number ...
check what comport is new (it sure is not com1!!)

before connecting to saver you should check that you have avg set to
"none" (no avg) and save that in slot 0

otherwise saver will show a fault and will not work (say you have set
avg to x5 and soft asks for 100 points but gets only 20 points back)

ALL THREE SOFT WORK WITH V2 ... VNA_QT ... VNA_SAVER ... NANOVNA_APP ...

if you still have problems just ask
