Is It ok? Budget around 50$\€
NanoVNA-H4 10KHz ~ 1.5GHz

Thanks in advance
Beware of cheap underperforming clones
As of 2022 there are many badly performing clones on the market. V2/3GHz NanoVNA uses parts like ADF4350 and AD8342 which are costly and clones have been cutting costs by using salvaged or reject parts.
See official store and look for V2 Plus4/V2 Plus4 Pro versions only to avoid getting a bad clone. We have stopped selling V2.2 versions since October 2020, so all V2 hardware that are not Plus or Plus4 are not made by us and we can not guarantee performance.

NanoVNA advice needed
Hi, I would recommend a unit that goes up to 3GHz or 4GHz even if the price is 120€.
Make sure to buy original.
My old one goes to 1,5GHz and it is not enough anymore, you will develope your needs by the time.
Still 45-50€ is ok for H4

Thanks for the reply.
Got the H4 at 55€ on Amazon market Place.

Depends on what you want to do with it and which frequency span you need.
have a first series, a H4 and a V2.
As a hamradio operator and home brewer, Most of the time I use the H4 because it has a bigger display (age comes with minor problems) and it can measure crystals ( see h ttps://www.ph2lb.nl/blog/index.php?page=xtal-adapter-for-nanovna ( https://www.ph2lb.nl/blog/index.php?page=xtal-adapter-for-nanovna ) ) one thing the V2 can't. Because all V2 versions switch on and off the test signal rapidly and so can't measure crystals or be used as a signal generator. (source : https://nanorfe.com/nanovna-v2.html ). For 2.4GHz measurements I use my V2 with NanoVNA Saver.
When you just want to measure antennea's up to high frequencies and don't homebrew you own crystal filters, go for the new V2 version with 4" display. Your eyes will thank you for that.

Good day! Since I'm bad at English, Google translates for me.
It is my first Message here.
1. It is already possible to measure the crystals with SAA-2.
Please do not try 1 port measurement (CH0) - the device does not see the crystal!
I just connected the crystal directly between CH0 and CH1. SAA-2 calibrated to the frequency range. Looked at the picture in the program NanoVNA-APP 1.1.206, there you can save scrinshots from the display and from the program, and also save the files .s1p and .s2p to load and analyze them in another program. Attention! The program saves the .s2p files without writing the .s2p file extension.
Example: quartz 8819 kHz
Center: 8820 kHz
Span: 50 kHz
2. I have the firmware from Uncle Ojisan (0jisancoubou, own development), where there are extra menu points to measure the crystals. The last version is dated October 4th, 2020. It has FW for V2 and display size 2.8 and 4.0 inches, although I only have 2.8.
This FW is very different from the standard. Scrinshots from the display are not possible with this FW, but it works with NanoVNA-APP.https://ojisankoubou.web.fc2.com/nanovna/nanovnav2.html

Thanks for the interesting measurement insights!
As so many others, I'm waiting for the new v2 Plus4, but if you can do
more/other thing with the H4, that one is also intresting to me.
So out of curiosity, where do you by a reliable H4 version?
