Beware of cheap underperforming clones

As of 2022 there are many badly performing clones on the market. V2/3GHz NanoVNA uses parts like ADF4350 and AD8342 which are costly and clones have been cutting costs by using salvaged or reject parts.

See official store and look for V2 Plus4/V2 Plus4 Pro versions only to avoid getting a bad clone. We have stopped selling V2.2 versions since October 2020, so all V2 hardware that are not Plus or Plus4 are not made by us and we can not guarantee performance.

NanoVNA-QT still supported?

Hello,
do you know the status of the development of NanoVNA-QT? I've seen that this very nice tool is not recompiled since may, even if some commits are available. Moreover, no new feature have been implemented (like enhanced response or other possible improvements). It would be a pity since this tool is quite useful.

i guess most users use nanovna saver and use the qt only for flashing new fw

saver is as useful as vna qt (besides the missing software upload) but
can show 4 (up to 6) values where qt only shows 3 (2 sweeps plus smith)

that may explain why no new features are added

I am a big fan of nanovna-saver but let's be serious it does not really
NanovnaQT.

NanovnaQT has some key feature that nanovna-saver does not unfortunately
offer.
1) The possibility to easily measure and export 4 S parameters (thanks to
the S parameter menu) into an S2P file. Nanovna-saver does not offer the
possibility to generate a fully populated S2P file with the 4 S parameters,
it has to be done manually....
2) It is also runs faster than Nanovna-saver
3)The extended port facility works much better too.

Perer
