Beware of cheap underperforming clones

As of 2022 there are many badly performing clones on the market. V2/3GHz NanoVNA uses parts like ADF4350 and AD8342 which are costly and clones have been cutting costs by using salvaged or reject parts.

See official store and look for V2 Plus4/V2 Plus4 Pro versions only to avoid getting a bad clone. We have stopped selling V2.2 versions since October 2020, so all V2 hardware that are not Plus or Plus4 are not made by us and we can not guarantee performance.

Last FW of Git only LCD does not work normally

I am using NanoVNA V2 Plus 4 version.
It uses a 4" LCD.

Clone the last F/W in Git and compiled it.
After downloading this, the LCD does nothing.
However, I saw that Sweep works normally by connecting via USB from the Nanovna-Server.

I would like to edit the source and add some other features.

When I restore with
nanovna-v2-20210726-v2plus4.bin everything is fine.

nanovna-v2-20201013-v2plus4.bin
When restored to , nothing is displayed on the LCD.

What's the problem?
What is the solution?
please help me

Hello!
You have a new hardware version of NanoVNA-V2Plus4 with changed display connection.

Please use last stable FW version from developer team
https://nanorfe.com/downloads/20210726/nanovna-v2-20210726-v2plus4.bin

or newest expreimental version
https://nanorfe.com/downloads/20211227/nanovna-v2-20211227-v2plus4.bin

All this can You find on https://nanorfe.com website of developer. All earlier FW version not works.

I want to modify the source to add communication protocol.

Now , is the final source code other than the compiled bin file not being released anymore ?

As i know last hardware have different lcd module, no open sources code or information about lcd avaible. But connection work, so you can conrtol V2Plus4 on CPU side.

I think possdible use this sources, if replace lcd, need search 4inch st7796 module.

Can the display be flipped? I don't like running the VNA with the cables
facing down. (I don't have one yet but that would be a show stopper if
it can't)
