Beware of cheap underperforming clones

As of 2022 there are many badly performing clones on the market. V2/3GHz NanoVNA uses parts like ADF4350 and AD8342 which are costly and clones have been cutting costs by using salvaged or reject parts.

See official store and look for V2 Plus4/V2 Plus4 Pro versions only to avoid getting a bad clone. We have stopped selling V2.2 versions since October 2020, so all V2 hardware that are not Plus or Plus4 are not made by us and we can not guarantee performance.

Is the "NanoVNA V2 Plus4 Pro " version available at all??

It would seem that the "V2 Plus4 Pro" is a V2 Plus4 with firmware that allows for a variable IF bandwidth which allows for scanning narrow band DUTs (e.g. crystals, narrow band filters, etc). It also seems as if the new VNA6000 is a "V2 Plus4 Pro" with upgraded hardware and the "Pro" software.

It also seems that the "Pro" version is NOT available really (or even listed on the official store website). However it is certainly listed on eBay etc. (listings that I personally do not trust)

Confusing?  Yep. I think the "Pro" is indeed been supplanted by the VNA6000.  Would love to get this clarified by the development group.  I would also like input from the other's on this group.

And, just for the heck of it, I would love to see some one review the "Pro" (aka VNA6000) with particular reference to it's capability to scan small bandwidth DUTs such as HF crystals.

Hi, V2 Plus4 Pro has an additional IF filter that allows adjustable bandwidth. *It runs the same firmware as V2 Plus4.* See: https://nanorfe.com/nanovna-versions.html
It is available from the official store at https://www.tindie.com/products/hcxqsgroup/nanovna-v2-plus4/ There is a dropdown menu that allows you to select the version.

VNA6000 is a new design and is not based on any earlier design. See details here: https://nanorfe.com/vna6000.html
Thanks
