As of 2023 there are many badly performing clones on the market. V2/3GHz NanoVNA uses parts like ADF4350 and AD8342 which are costly and clones have been cutting costs by using salvaged or reject parts.
See official store and look for V2 Plus4/V2 Plus4 Pro versions only to avoid getting a bad clone. We have stopped selling V2.2 versions since October 2020, so all V2 hardware that are not Plus or Plus4 are not made by us and we can not guarantee performance.
I want to use Nano VNA as Radar source and using Inverse Fast Fourier Transform using S11 and S21 data do the Radar imaging . I am able to retrieve the data from s11 and s21 but also want data about phase for accurate plotting . How can I get it?
S11 and S21 are vector parameters. They can be read either as R ± jX (in
your case, amplitude) or R @ angles. You have the complex expression of
these parameters inherent in the measurements but likely not displayed.
As a starter, check the Smith Chart representation of these parameters.
You'll find both the real and complex portion of the required parameters
expressed in several formats which you choose.

the .s2p file has real and imaginary parts of the measurement (or mag/phase).
So if you get the file out, you’ve got what you need.
The “TDR” function is basically doing an iFFT inside the unit.
