Beware of cheap underperforming clones

As of 2023 there are many badly performing clones on the market. V2/3GHz NanoVNA uses parts like ADF4350 and AD8342 which are costly and clones have been cutting costs by using salvaged or reject parts.

See official store and look for V2 Plus4/V2 Plus4 Pro versions only to avoid getting a bad clone. We have stopped selling V2.2 versions since October 2020, so all V2 hardware that are not Plus or Plus4 are not made by us and we can not guarantee performance.

How can I tell which Hardware Version I have

PT 2025/02/18 20:51

I have a Nanovna V2Plus4 I purchased from the (old and no longer exists) NanoRFE store on Aliexpress in April 2021.

I have since updated the firmware so cannot tell that way what the hardware version is.

Opening the unit, it has a V1.0 display board, and I can find NO indication on the main PCB which HW version it is.

>From reading this page it is not an unofficial hardware variant https://nanorfe.com/nanovna-versions.html as it looks just like the picture of the V2Plus4 at the top of the page.

Can someone tell my from these pictures what HW version it is?  I see no 2.2, 2.3 etc etc on the PCB.

@nanov2support, any info you can give me on this what appears to me to be a 'real' V2Plus4?

Hi, this is an original V2 Plus4 (V2.4). It is supported by the latest firmware on the NanoRFE website.
Thanks
