Beware of cheap underperforming clones

As of 2022 there are many badly performing clones on the market. V2/3GHz NanoVNA uses parts like ADF4350 and AD8342 which are costly and clones have been cutting costs by using salvaged or reject parts.

See official store and look for V2 Plus4/V2 Plus4 Pro versions only to avoid getting a bad clone. We have stopped selling V2.2 versions since October 2020, so all V2 hardware that are not Plus or Plus4 are not made by us and we can not guarantee performance.

Function of "BOOT0" ?

Anne Ranch 2022/06/11 09:42

On my device there is unused pins -  connector "P1" on PCB.
There is no correlation between schematic and PCB...
What does "BOOT0" do ?

Reboot / reset ?

Hello Anne!

BOOT0+VDD short connected+Turn ON = DFU Mode of NanoVNA-H
Here is newest Firmware, Release:

Anne, is it schematic of NanoVNA-H?

Anne Ranch 2022/06/12 15:10

No, the schematic title label is "nanoVNA " and it has not a single "P x"  designation on it ...

Vladimir Lebedev 2022/06/13 01:17

Hello Anne!
STM32F072 is processor in NanoVNA/NanoVNA-H
NanoVNA-H is from Hugen, modified version of NanoVNA. I have had pcb version 3.4. Last pcb version 3.6 has micro sd slot and clock crystal 32768 Hz.

FW from DiSlord is for all variants NanoVNA. Ask DiSlord over HC-05/HC-06 connection to NanoVNA.

Maybe it's a slightly different version, but the NanoVNA-H schematic shows BOOT0 connected to a 2 pin connector P1.
In any case the function is as described - connect it to Vbat, and it puts the thing into DFU mode (maybe only on power up).

Your schematic title has -H added to the name .
Minor detail....

Here is what "gtkterm" gives me
In laymen terms - I am connected to nanoVNA using serial ( USB)  port and "running" some kind
of so far undefined script.

It looks as "menu" commands...

So  far I used "reset" and "version"...

My conclusion - I own "Board: NanoVNA-H" and do not care if the github schematic is without "H" .
Cheers
