Beware of cheap underperforming clones

As of 2022 there are many badly performing clones on the market. V2/3GHz NanoVNA uses parts like ADF4350 and AD8342 which are costly and clones have been cutting costs by using salvaged or reject parts.

See official store and look for V2 Plus4/V2 Plus4 Pro versions only to avoid getting a bad clone. We have stopped selling V2.2 versions since October 2020, so all V2 hardware that are not Plus or Plus4 are not made by us and we can not guarantee performance.

Flash firware with NanoVNA QT

Hi

I have my new Nano VNA V2 it has FW 2020 05 01 installed

How do Install new firmware using the Nano VNA QT software?

There is no menu option for FW upload?

Sorry if it appears to be a stupid question.

With the SAA-2 in DFU mode, when you select the correct serial port in VNA-QT the program will ask if you want to update the software. No menu option involved.

in the v2 you find an option to switch it in dfu mode

or switch on with left button pressed (that also switches to dfu mode)

now fire up nano vna qt ... connect to device and if in dfu mode soft
will ashk if you wanna flash firmware

click yes ... select file ... and after a few seconds the device reboots
with new firmware

easy
