As of 2022 there are many badly performing clones on the market. V2/3GHz NanoVNA uses parts like ADF4350 and AD8342 which are costly and clones have been cutting costs by using salvaged or reject parts.
See official store and look for V2 Plus4/V2 Plus4 Pro versions only to avoid getting a bad clone. We have stopped selling V2.2 versions since October 2020, so all V2 hardware that are not Plus or Plus4 are not made by us and we can not guarantee performance.
Does anyone know of any major differences in the 20201013 2_2 firmware and the 2013 2_2_8 firmware. Is it possible to use the V2 Plus or 2.3 firmware on a 2_2 device that has the FPU, as mine does have this?

difference?? both are "outdated" (in other words old)
you can only use the plus firmware if you make all needed THREE steps to
convert a "normal" v2 to a v2plus
change BOOTLOADER (tricky cause you need a programming tool for this ...
can not be done via usb!!)
change FIRMWARE ... you then need the "plus" fw for your display size
... 2.8 to 3.5 inch (small) ... or 4 inch (big)
and do a hardware modding (change three smd parts)
ONLY WHEN ALL THREE STEPS ARE DONE IT WORKS!!!
change fw alone ... DOES NOT WORK!!
change fw and smd parts (not bootloader) ... ALSO DOES NOT WORK!!

as far as i know 24112020 is the last "official" fw
but in this user group (or one of the other groups around nanovna,
vnaqt, vna safer etc) sometimes you may find newer versions from users
(dislord is good in writing new fw as one major example)

Thanks, so far it does what I wanted it for and more so not complaining. I may get one of the 4.3" 4.4GHz units later but this one and the Computer SW gets me a lot of fun time..

4.3 inch 4.4 ghz version is NanoVNA-F V2, but FW is ONLY from developer.
