Russ,

Make sure on your Nano VNA H4 display configuration : connection=USB and serial speed=115200 bps are selected ( you can use a different speed as well ).

When VNA APP starts in “Device Management” of Windows you should see under device PORTS (COM &LPT ) USB Serial Device ( COM No. X ).

Also, for USB Serial Device --> Advance Port Settings I set up manually COM port number 3 ( you may use any number ).

Any time you start Nano VNA app it should come up with the same COM port number that was set in the advanced port settings window.

Russ,

Based on my experience with VNA Saver v0.5.4 app, it is unreliable under Windows 10 and 11.

I gave up using this app and started of using NanoVNA – APP v1.209 under Windows 11 ( 64-bit ) and before with Windows 10 (64-bit ). It works reliably.

There is no need to change windows driver by Microsoft v10.0.22621.1194 with Cypress USB driver.

Regards,

RW

I am unable to get NanoVNA Saver working on my Win 11 PC. I started off with v0.5.4 (64 bit) with no success and then I read these posts. So, I tried v0.5.3 (32 bit) and still no success. In both cases VNA Saver was not finding my Nano VNA V2 Plus 4. I clicked on Rescan but no result. I clicked on Manage and a message appeared in the console screen: "NanoVNASaver.Controls.SerialControl -ERROR - Tried to open None and failed: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'open' ".
In Device Manager, under USB Controllers, I get a device showing as "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)
I tried installing Cypress USB Serial Driver but this made no difference.
Any help will be much appreciated, thanks.
