I am new to this and I have looked but cannot find anything to tell me what a couple of the setting do. There are two that let you change from the default of 50 ohms. Under the Measure menu there is "Measure R1=50 ohms". What does this do? Then under the Display menu there is "Port-Z 50 -> 50 ohms". The Port-Z setting centers the Smith chart but what else does it do, if anything? One last question (for now), Under the Calibrate menu what does "Enhanced Response" do? Thanks.

Beware of cheap underperforming clones
As of 2023 there are many badly performing clones on the market. V2/3GHz NanoVNA uses parts like ADF4350 and AD8342 which are costly and clones have been cutting costs by using salvaged or reject parts.
See official store and look for V2 Plus4/V2 Plus4 Pro versions only to avoid getting a bad clone. We have stopped selling V2.2 versions since October 2020, so all V2 hardware that are not Plus or Plus4 are not made by us and we can not guarantee performance.

Default settings other than 50 ohms?
Hi, the enhanced response calibration allows more accurate S21 measurements and should always be enabled. Port Z calculates reflections based on a different characteristic impedance, but note this does not affect the input impedance of the ports, so is not a true way to change the characteristic impedance of the system.
Thanks
