Beware of cheap underperforming clones

As of 2022 there are many badly performing clones on the market. V2/3GHz NanoVNA uses parts like ADF4350 and AD8342 which are costly and clones have been cutting costs by using salvaged or reject parts.

See official store and look for V2 Plus4/V2 Plus4 Pro versions only to avoid getting a bad clone. We have stopped selling V2.2 versions since October 2020, so all V2 hardware that are not Plus or Plus4 are not made by us and we can not guarantee performance.

Clone or not? NanoVNA-F V2

I'm questioning whether I bought a clone or not; and wondering if it matters much or if at all.  I just ordered and received it from Amazon Prime who advertised it as the most popular seller.  I paid over 200 with the additional connectors; and the unit is identified as a "NanoVNA-F V2" version v0.1.0 firmware dated 2020-12-28 from www.sysjoint.com ( http://www.susjoint.com ).  Did I get taken?

I have recently bought (just a few weeks ago) a NanoVNA-F V2 directly from AliExpress. It was shipped from the Czech
Republic and it took about ten days to Italy.
I paid for it 97 Euro, shipping included.  If you paid over 200 (dollars ?) for it, you paid really too much.
And firmware 0.1.0 is very old. The current one is 0.2.4   Mine arrived with 0.2.3 installed, which I immediately
upgraded to 0.2.4   It looks like yours is one of the first units produced.

hi Charles,
each NanoVNA-F V2 has a unique serial number, you can send the serial number of your device to SYSJOINT support mailbox to verify it. we have not found clones on the market till this moment.
btw, $200 is much higher than our official price of $149.
