I am trying to find where to change the Data Points when using NanoVNA Saver. Is it done from the NanoVNA itself or within the NanoVNA Saver application itself?
Beware of cheap underperforming clones
As of 2022 there are many badly performing clones on the market. V2/3GHz NanoVNA uses parts like ADF4350 and AD8342 which are costly and clones have been cutting costs by using salvaged or reject parts.
See official store and look for V2 Plus4/V2 Plus4 Pro versions only to avoid getting a bad clone. We have stopped selling V2.2 versions since October 2020, so all V2 hardware that are not Plus or Plus4 are not made by us and we can not guarantee performance.

Change Data Points #nanovna-saver
hello nathan
click on "manage" ... a new window will pop up where you can select data
points (up to 1023)
if you want a "smoother curve" then you should click on
sweep settings and select "averaged sweep" ... and select an avg setting
that fits your needs
3 of 5, 5 of 9 ... or if you want a very slow scan but supersmooth curve
then you could use 40 of 65 (take 65 values and throw out 25 of them and
take the rest of 40 points and average them to one point) ... yes that
slows it down to VERY slow scanning but you have a superb curve then
so ... now you should know how to set number of points ... and number of
averaging

Hi
Try the 'number of segments' at the upper left 'sweep setting'
