I have the 7" touch screen shown in the two photos below as a result of an aborted project, which did not ever see the
light.
I am wondering if I can use it with the S-A-A-2 nanoVNA....

Can this 7" touch screen be used with nanoVNA_V2 ?
its a serial device and also has a touch display ... so ... i would say
"maybe"
cause there is no firmware that supports it (yet)

The firmware aspect maybe could be taken care of... but what about the hardware ? How could it be connected to the S-A-A-2 ?

I already answer about it see:

As can see this LCD on SSD1963 driver
See datasheet
https://www.chipcad.hu/Image/GetDocument/en/3163/ssd1963%20controller.pdf
Page 16
No SPI data format supported, only parallel data interphace. No pins on CPU for this

Thanks DiSlord for your answer. Yes, I can see now that, apart from the firmware, the major show stopper is the fact
that this panel can be interfaced only with parallel data...
Well, let's hope that someday a S-A-A-2 nanoVNA with at least a 4"display will materialize.... 2.8 inches are too few....

Hello ALberto
4 inch is already solved ...
buy a v2 ... buy a 4 inch screen
add the firware for that bigger screen
done
dg9bfc sigi
ps ... a 5 to 8 inch would be fun for a bench unit and still usable
stand alone (away from bench)
