hi kurt
superb video from "the guy with the swiss accent" ... grin
good overview what a vna does and how ... and also a rough explanation
what that smith chart is and what a coil or cap does rf wise in the
smith chart ... cause a picture (or video in this case) tells a thousand
words it is a superb starting point for all vna newcomers ... be it with
the older nano or with the v2 (and all of both clones etc.)
sadly he does not really tell about the different v2 versions available
and that the main difference between the two (nano and v2) is the
complete new clock design (much higher dynamc range as when using
harmonics) ... and at best tell that you can upgrade a v2 to a v2 plus
... and that the plus4 is not a "plus with a bigger screen" but is a
complete redesign (better bridge, lower noise etc) with another step
better as the v2plus
you can upgrade a "normal" v2 to a v2plus ... or an saa2n (v2 with 4
inch and n adaptors) to an "saa2n plus" (v2plus with 4 inch)
but that is not the same as the new developed v2plus4
so we have ... the nano with all screen sizes and with or without case
the v2 (different lcd, case, connectors available)
v2 plus (any v2 can be upgraded to the plus but needs special bootloader)
and v2plus 4 (brand new design with better results as a v2plus)
puzzelt?? :-)
